Assistant and data residency
Simtelligence's own assistant calls Azure AI Foundry in Canada East. The web app authenticates with its managed identity. No customer API key is involved. Prompts sent on that path stay on the Canadian Foundry account described in the data residency note.
An organization owner can point the assistant at their own Azure or OpenAI-compatible endpoint. That sends prompts and model content to whatever address they enter, which may be outside Canada. The Settings page warns before that choice is saved. A saved key is encrypted at rest and is not shown again. Do not put personal health information in a prompt.
